Dave Hess Jr., Good Driving and luck keeps Hess in the top 10.

Waterford, Pa - the 2008 season has started with a bang for Dave Hess Jr. and his racing team.  He found victory lane in Florida which led to the Alltel-All-star and 12k.  On to Kentucky where Hess and crew took second in the 5th Annual Bluegrass Bash held at Nebo, KY's Western KY Speedway.

Hess's western Pa debut came at Mercer Raceway for the inaugural UEMS event which he scored a fourth place finish.

The World of Outlaws made it to Lernerville Speedway for the "Showdown in Sarvertown."  Hess was on hand for his first attempt of the year with the Outlaws and ended up 13th after a good run.  "I got a little too high and totally missed the cushion, I luckily got the car under control and didn't cause a caution but it definitely set me back and I had to play catch-up the rest of the race,"  Remarked Hess.  Next it was off to Hilltop Speedway on April 18th for the first IRS race of the season where it was Hess who'd be the defending champ of the 1st Deadline 50 at the Millersburg, OH track.  Hess was fifth after leading the race for over 30 laps. April 19th saw the team at the season opener of Challenger Speedway and a strong 3rd place finish.  On April 25th   Hess saw his luck turn and slow as a flat tire caused an early departure while leading the field at Lernerville.  The team rebounded with a big day on Sunday April 27th, Hess won the e-mod feature and finished 3rd in the first ever UFO event held at Challenger Speedway.

Hess drives the Hess Garage and Salvage, Beacon Lubricants, Plyler Overhead Door, Jim Brozell Construction, Linda's Notary Service, Collision World, Texas Road House, Simpson Racing Products, Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic, Afco racing Shocks, MWB graphics Craiger-powered, Rocket, Pontiac GTO and will be at Elkins Motor Speedway this Friday and Pittsburg Pa's Motor speedway on Saturday.
